Hudson County Community College Vice Chairman Bakari G. Lee, Esq. currently serves as the Chairman of the ACCT Board of Directors. The ACCT Board met to develop strategies to advance community college governance and advocacy at the national level, with an emphasis on the association’s “2020 Vision,” two recently announced strategic goals for community college boards.
On Friday, July 14, the ACCT Board and staff toured the Hudson County Community College library and art gallery, and dined in the HCCC culinary arts institute.
“Hosting the ACCT Board Retreat was a wonderful way to showcase one of our premier community colleges in the country,” ACCT Chairman and Hudson County Community College Vice Chairman Bakari Lee, Esq. said.
“The national leadership was impressed with the graciousness, the quality, and the diversity displayed by HCCC and the New Jersey community colleges,” ACCT President and CEO J. Noah Brown said at the conclusion of the week. “Our board members and staff had an exceptional experience, and all of us came away inspired to continue our work toward promoting student success for all of our students.”
