Trustee Conference Set for June 16TRENTON, N.J.— The New Jersey Council of County Colleges will host its annual Trustee Conference on Monday, June 16, 2008, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Trenton Marriott at Lafayette Yard hotel in Trenton. This year's conference, "Best Principles and Best Practices," will feature a new trustee orientation seminar, presentations highlighting best board practices on three of our community college campuses, dinner and the Council's June business meeting. Key legislators and representatives from Governor Jon Corzine's office will also join us. Please note: The New Jersey Council of County Colleges has waived the Trustee Conference registration fee this year because the Conference and June Council Meeting have been combined. NJCCC to Honor State's Top Students The New Jersey Council of County Colleges will honor New Jersey's 33 best and brightest community college students and their families at its 14th annual Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Day celebration on Thursday, May 1, at the Lafayette Yard Marriott Hotel, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. NJ STARS Enrollment Jumps 32 Percent Statewide Statewide enrollment of New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Rewards Scholarship (NJ STARS) students at New Jersey's 19 community colleges increased by 32 percent compared to last year. |
